Using Participatory Design techniques & UCD, I designed and facilitated a Kids’ Scratch Camp where participants developed their own video games using Scratch. I created the course curriculum and instructional videos, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and usability best practices.
Videos For Kids
My “Kids’ Videos” category encompasses online educational content designed using User-Centered Design principles to engage and teach children effectively. These videos guide kids through interactive lessons on creating video games using Scratch, focusing on hands-on learning. Additionally, the category includes creative content like an original song about homophones, blending music and visuals to make language concepts fun and easy to understand for young learners. The videos are tailored to children’s learning styles, ensuring an engaging and accessible experience.
Using Music to Teach Homophones
When creating my homophones song, I applied Universal Design to make it accessible and engaging for all learners. By incorporating simple language, clear visuals, and a catchy melody, I ensured the lesson was easy to grasp and enjoyable for children with diverse learning needs.
