Reflective Essay

This capstone portfolio represents my academic and professional growth in the TTU MATC program. It reflects how my skills in technical communication have evolved, grounded in theoretical frameworks and informed by practical experience. Throughout this journey, I applied advanced methodologies, improved my design capabilities, and built a cohesive portfolio that aligns with both academic expectations and industry standards.

When I began the MATC program, my strengths were rooted in practical digital marketing and web design, but I lacked formal academic grounding in technical communication theory. Over the course of the program, I developed key skills in writing for diverse audiences, document design, usability testing, and project management. I moved from creating functional designs to embedding theories such as Gestalt Principles, Universal Design, and Plain Language Theory, which helped me elevate my projects to professional standards.
